On1 photo raw will not open4/11/2023 The release of ON1 Photo RAW is the biggest event this company has had in years. Some may agree with the assessment, some may not. You have amplified your reputation of being small.Īnd all you have to do is ask yourself this question and answer it honestly: Would YOU purchase software from a company who was so perceivably small you knew support might disappear and upgrades might disappear because they were so small they couldn't compete? You would think that for such a major release and event, you could have had one staffer stay late or come in early to press a key on a keyboard to send the mass emails and open the download floodgates at 12:01 Eastern time or even GMT.Ī large company would never have done this. You have been developing on1 raw for years, you have been hyping the heck out of it for a year. Everybody knows you're a small company, but you have diminished your size and trustability further. I hope you know what you have done here has damaged your reputation. However, it can help you when making a decision whether to invest in their software Many photographers know ON1 has been developing a new RAW engine for years, and has been hyping the heck out of it for a year. Picture North Carolina wrote in post #18192477 They will get you into the ballpark and be helpful. In leui of Photo RAW videos, you might want to watch the Photo 10 and 10.5 videos. The interface may be a little different in that there are new options, combined options and such, but it still pretty much feels like ON1 Photo 10.5. It's pretty intuitive software and if you are already familiar with On1's suite of products like Photo 10, you're already there. Still, as said above I would rather they spend time finalizing the product than producing videos. I purchased the pre-release some time ago, but the only videos they made me aware of were marketing videos that promoted the product. When you go to the support pages there are no ON1 Photo RAW instructional videos. I'm frustrated that I struggled through the videos and can't find answers.Īgree. All I've been able to find are the videos, nothing written. I'm disappointed that they didn't release more documentation with this. If you go to the ON1 website right now it is called a pre-release on the main page and clicking to the ON1 RAW page also calls it a pre-release. release to be a 'pre-release'" that's odd, too. I would much rather know their personnel is working on the product than spending time coordinating emails.Īs to ".On1 never mentioned the Nov. I never received anything stating the release had been pushed back. A number of people pointed this out to me, but all the emails I got called for a Nov. 19th full release scheduled.Īgree, no big deal. No big deal though, I just thought I'd mention the Dec. I could be totally wrong about the previous promotional e-mails though, they were deleted long ago so I can't verify. release to be a 'pre-release', or what I wouldĬall a public beta release. Now, IIRC, all previous e-mails that I have received from On1 never mentioned the Nov. 23rd., said the Full version release would be on Dec. I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet, but the e-mail I got, on Nov. With no support, I've got no idea what to try to fix it.Ĭanon 6D2 |Canon Eos-m |Canon ef-m 22 |Samyang 14mm f/2.8 |Canon 40 stm |Canon 50 f/1.8 stm |Canon FD 50mm macro |Canon Macro 100 L|Canon 16-35 f/4 L IS USM |Canon 24-105 L IS USM II |Canon 70-300 IS II USM |Canon 100-400 L| I tried it and the ratings don't show up for me. The video (ON1 Live Photo RAW Event Session 2) shows him rating photos in ON1 RAW and then importing them into LR and having the ratings show up. I'm trying to cull and rate photos before importing them into LR. So, no user to user help without paying extra? It looks like the forums are hidden behind the ON1 Plus paywall. If it was written documentation, I could at least search it instead of wasting my time scrubbing back and forth through a video looking for what I missed the first time. I'm frustrated that I struggled through the videos and can't find answers.
